Analytics Developer, Power BI

About the position

Reporting to the Director of Analytics, the Power BI Developer designs, develops, and maintains SQL code, data models, pipelines, and reports to support institutional reporting and decision-making. This role leverages tools such as Azure, SQL , Power BI, and related ETL technologies to deliver accurate and efficient business intelligence solutions. The position may require occasional evening, weekend, or holiday hours.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains scalable Power BI and Azure data models to support ongoing business needs.
• Develops and optimizes SQL queries, dashboards, and dataflows.
• Designs and maintains ETL pipelines that integrate data from Ellucian Banner and other systems.
• Ensures integration of on-prem and cloud data sources.
• Delivers end-to-end BI solutions from requirements through deployment.
• Collaborates with stakeholders on reporting needs, governance, and compliance.
• Documents processes, data models, and reports for reuse and maintenance.
• Ensures deliverables meet expectations and are consistent with IT standards.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Ellucian Banner or higher-ed systems; SIS , Finance, HR, and Academic data.
• Knowledge of Python.
• Knowledge of Snowflake.
• Familiarity with AI/ML analytics for student success and retention.
