This person will report to our Lead Designer and embed within a product-focused team (Product Manager, Engineering Manager, Engineers). As an early Design hire at a time of rapid company growth, you will play a key role in shaping what our product and design processes will look like for years to come.&nbsp;</p> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Lead with insights, designs, flows, prototypes, etc. – both strategically and tactically. Be comfortable with the entire Product Design process from research and design system input, to design and prototyping, to handoff and QA.</li> <li>Contribute to our nascent Design System to create consistently high quality experiences for our customers and decrease the time it takes to deliver it.</li> <li>Develop product designs that strike a balance between creativity, quality, speed, and business opportunity.</li> <li>Design&nbsp; new product features, from conception to user experience to pixel perfect implementation.</li> <li>Establish and drive a posture and practice of understanding customer problems deeply – not just reacting to customer requests but understanding them well enough to create solutions customers could not have thought of themselves.</li> <li>Demonstrate compelling and confident storytelling that surfaces assumptions and difficult decisions but also aligns stakeholders around solutions.</li> <li>Work collaboratively with peers in Product Management, Product Ops, Engineering and across Fora.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>About you:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Have 5+ years of product design experience, preferably in a startup or embedded environment.</li> <li>Feel comfortable designing for both SaaS and Consumer-facing products, and have significant experience in at least one.</li> <li>Are excited about the prospect of creating many designs quickly, and are excited about both designing from 0-1 and iterating on existing products.</li> <li>Approach design with an eye on practicality and business impact.&nbsp;</li> <li>Are comfortable working with partial data or input from Product Managers (you can think with a product mindset and help push the team forward when needed)</li> <li>Communicate well, both your design ideas, as well as an ability to speak fluently with our advisors to secure product feedback</li> <li>Have a strong ability to create easy-to-use interfaces to accomplish complex tasks.&nbsp;</li> <li>Have a fondness for identifying and addressing uncertain issues and converting them into well-defined objectives.</li> <li>You have an eye for visually appealing and meticulously crafted design, paying close attention to details.</li> <li>Are extremely comfortable with Figma</li> <li>Hands-on HTML/CSS background is a plus</li> </ul> <h2>Compensation</h2> <p>Compensation for this role varies based on experience, with an indicative range of $140K–$190K + equity.
