Assistant Manager - Key Accounts

Role Overview:

The personnel will be responsible for managing the customer relationship, ensuring service excellence in distribution and warehousing, driving operational efficiency, and acting as the single point of contact between the client and internal teams. The role demands strong expertise in 3PL logistics, cold chain operations, and end-to-end supply chain coordination.

Role & responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for the account.
• Maintain strong client relationships by understanding business requirements and delivering consistent service.
• Handle escalations, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction.

Operational Management

• Oversee daily distribution, secondary transport, and warehousing activities.
• Monitor KPIs like OTIF (On-Time In-Full), vehicle utilization, order accuracy, and cold chain compliance.
• Coordinate with operations, warehouse, and transport teams to ensure SLAs are met.

Business Performance & Reporting

• Review weekly/monthly performance with clients, highlighting service achievements and areas of improvement.
• Track costs, and efficiency metrics.
• Prepare dashboards, MIS, and client reports.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify process gaps and implement improvements in routing, warehouse handling, and delivery efficiency.
• Work closely with planning & supply chain teams of the client for better demand visibility and smoother operations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong understanding of 3PL distribution & warehousing (cold chain / FMCG / QSR preferred).
• Proven track record of client relationship management.
• Good knowledge of transport management, route planning, and secondary logistics.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage pressure, resolve conflicts, and lead cross-functional teams.
