Technical Project Manager - Data & AI

Job Description : The Data & AI TPM (Expert) leads end-to-end delivery of complex data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, and GenAI programs across multiple teams and platforms. This role owns technical program execution, architecture-to-delivery alignment, governance, and stakeholder outcomes, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, compliant, cost-efficient, and measurably valuable in production.Required Qualifications (Must-Have) : Experience : - 15 to 19+ years in technical program/project management with 5+ years in Data/AI/ML delivery- Proven track record shipping production AI/data solutions (not only POCs)- Experience managing multi-team programs (data engineers, ML engineers, DevOps/SRE, security)Technical Competencies : - Strong understanding of : 1. Data engineering (ETL/ELT, batch/streaming, lake/lakehouse/warehouse, data modeling)2. Cloud data platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and their data/AI services3.

ML lifecycle (training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring), and MLOps practices4. GenAI system patterns: RAG, vector databases, embeddings, prompt orchestration, guardrails Practical fluency in : 1. SQL, data validation concepts, and reading basic Python notebooks/scripts2. CI/CD and release management principles (Git workflows, environment promotion, IaC awareness)Behavioral Competencies : - Technical credibility : can challenge architecture and delivery plans constructively- Executive communication : concise, outcome-focused storytelling with metrics- Conflict resolution : negotiates priorities across org boundaries with data and empathy- Systems thinking : understands end-to-end flow from data source - model - product - operations (ref: hirist.tech)
