Join our Training team, where you will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering modern training and crew solutions for maritime and naval projects. Fleetway is driving the integration of combat and platform systems to support the sailors who will join the River Class Destroyer fleet. The Intermediate Data Analyst works within a collaborative team environment and plays an important role in the design, architecture, and delivery of data driven solutions that support crew, mission, and task analyses for the Royal Canadian Navy. This position is primarily focused on database design, data architecture, and user-friendly frontend interfaces that enable reliable, reusable, and transparent analytical products.

- Design, build, and maintain project databases to support analysis and training related deliverables
- Define data structures, relationships, and workflows to support current and future analytical needs
- Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources, including data acquired through technical information requests
- Manage data processing, cleaning, validation, documentation, and ongoing database upkeep
- Design and develop intuitive frontend user interfaces that allow users to explore data and support decision making
- Conduct and support statistical analysis, modelling, and simulation related to shipboard crew composition and task allocation
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including ISI IT, to ensure solutions align with data security, governance, and delivery requirements
- Identify data gaps, dependencies, risks, and inconsistencies, and contribute to practical solutions
Education
Postsecondary degree with a major in one of the following:
- Data and Information Management
- Statistics
- Data Science
- Mathematics
- Applied Computer Science
Related disciplines (BSc or BA)
- Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing databases with large datasets
- Experience using C# within a .NET framework to develop user interfaces connected to SQL databases
- Experience applying analytical techniques, modelling, simulation, or information systems in a project environment
- Strong documentation skills related to data design, processes, and analytical outputs
- Advanced computer skills, regardless of educational background, including:
- VBA
- SQL
Macros and scripting
- Key Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Ability to translate analytical and operational needs into practical data solutions
- Experience working in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams
- Clear communication and documentation skills
- Comfort working in structured, governed data environments
