AWS Email Marketing Specialist (SES Setup & Management)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AWS Email Marketing Specialist to set up and manage email infrastructure using Amazon SES (Simple Email Service). This is a part time, remote role for someone who understands technical configurations and can support scalable, compliant email campaigns for marketing and transactional use.

Responsibilities

• Set up Amazon SES, including domain verification, DKIM, SPF, and DMARC configurations.
• Manage email sending quotas, monitor bounce rates, and ensure high deliverability.
• Integrate SES with internal tools, CRMs, or email automation platforms (e.g., Mailwizz, Mautic).
• Create and maintain email templates for various campaigns.
• Support marketing and technical teams to run campaigns via SES infrastructure.
• Implement and optimize IP warm-up strategies and feedback loops.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Amazon SES setup and management.
• Strong understanding of email authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
• Experience with email marketing platforms or bulk email software integrated with SES.
• Knowledge of AWS IAM policies and permission structures.
• Understanding of best practices in email deliverability and compliance.
• Basic scripting or integration knowledge is a plus (e.g., Python, Lambda, API use).
• Self-motivated with attention to detail and documentation.
