Buckingham Golf Club — Golf Course Superintendent

The Buckingham Golf Club is seeking a highly experienced and passionate Golf Course Superintendent to manage all course maintenance operations and ensure first-class playing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Board of Directors and oversee maintenance across all areas (greens, tees, fairways, bunkers).
• Supervise a seasonal team of about ten employees and manage the annual budget.
• Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance programs to optimize turf health and quality.
• Fertilization and aeration programs; monitor and adjust irrigation; schedule equipment maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with pesticide regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a superintendent or assistant superintendent.
• Degree in a relevant field (agronomy, turf science, etc.).
• Strong leadership skills and in-depth knowledge of turf management.

Compensation and schedule:

• Year-round position with a salary range of $65,000 to $90,000 per year.
• Benefits include a seasonal golf card and continuing education allowance.

Note: The club aims to hire as soon as possible, ideally before spring 2025.

Metcalfe Golf Club — Equipment Manager / Mechanic

The Metcalfe Golf Club is seeking an Equipment Manager / Mechanic. This full-time, salaried, 12-month position is responsible for the complete daily maintenance of all golf course equipment, including a fleet of 90 golf carts.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on golf course equipment, including small engines, diesel systems, hydraulic systems, welding, and electrical diagnostics.
• Grind reels and bedknives and fabricate tools as needed.
• Keep detailed maintenance records and train staff on equipment operation.
• Maintain a safe and clean shop environment and work a schedule that includes early mornings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of mechanic experience.
• Strong skills in small engine and diesel repair, welding, electrical diagnosis, and hydraulic systems.
