Job Title: QA Engineer (API Testing)
Experience: 2–4 Years
Job Description
We are looking for a QA Engineer with API testing experience to test backend services and ensure application quality. The candidate should have hands-on experience in manual testing along with validating REST APIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual functional, regression, and integration testing
- Validate RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger, or REST Assured
- Verify API responses (JSON/XML), status codes, and authentication
- Create and execute test cases and test scenarios
- Log and track defects using JIRA
- Work closely with developers and product teams in Agile environments
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of manual testing concepts
- Experience with API testing using Postman / Swagger
- Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON
- Basic SQL knowledge
Good to Have
- Basic knowledge of Automation Testing using Selenium or Playwright
- Familiarity with Java or JavaScript/Typescript programming language
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber
- Understanding of test automation frameworks
- Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins
- Knowledge of Git version control
