Job Description

As a Technician- Engineering Maintenance Associate at First Solar, you will play a crucial role in the installation, qualification, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshooting day-to-day manufacturing process and equipment issues.
• Performing necessary maintenance and repair of equipment in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Identifying and implementing system improvements to enhance throughput, yield, and product performance.

Qualification Required:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One or more years experience as a FS manufacturing operator/production associate/operations technician OR
• Two or more years external experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solving day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems under supervision.
• Performing on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Identifying and implementing yield and product performance improvements.
• Developing methods to assign causes to yield excursions.
• Setting up and maintaining gauges.
• Executing planned process experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and reporting results.
• Providing training to production associates once proficiency is reached.
• Developing and updating internal documentation including drawings, standard operating procedures, and process specifications.
• Maintaining effective communication with other members of the manufacturing team.
• Disposing of non-conforming product according to established criteria.
• Adhering to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
• Completing First Solar Associate EMT training program.
