Lead, Data Analytics and Reporting (Internal Only)

Salary:

$88,948 - $104,644 - $120,341 per year (pay range explained below)

Hours:

37.5 hours (core hours Mon-Fri 9am-3pm)

Location:

Alberni office (Metro Vancouver) - located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil- Waututh Nations. Hybrid (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA's flex work policy). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027.

About The Role

As the Lead, Data Analytics and Reporting, you will provide strategic analytical support to FNHA Health Benefits and Wholistic Wellness and the IMIT teams to document business and clinical workflows. You will collaborate with regional teams and community partners to identify, analyze and report data. And you will lead a small team in analyzing large, complex health and wellness datasets to support planning, policy development, and decision-making. As well as you will monitor the integrity of databases, ensuring alignment with external data sources and compliance with data management requirements. Additionally, you will prepare and present complex datasets, data analytical models, analytical reports and cost analyses to management. In addition, you will write scripts using SQL, Denodo, R, Python, and other tools to automate data cleansing, transformation, and analysis across diverse sources.

About You

Education

  • Master's Degree in Economics, statistics or other health related discipline with minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience in developing, designing, and implementing analytical data products

Experience

  • Recent, relevant and significant experience in leading complex analytical work, preferably in healthcare, using scripting languages and query languages
  • Hands-on experience with analytical models, methods and techniques, such as regression and time series analysis
  • Experience with data visualization and dashboard design software such as Tableau, Power BI
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of analytical and statistical tools such as SQL, R and Python
  • Experience with business intelligence, data warehouse technologies, with strong SQL skills; understanding data strategy concepts using semantic layer design or Data Catalog to enable self-service analytics is an asset

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Big Data framework, Semantic Layer Architecture, and Data Strategy opportunities, challenges and risks as they pertain to healthcare is an asset
  • Knowledge of the BC health care system is an asset
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to assess health programs and service
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of office productivity software (Microsoft Office suite of products)

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
