Bookkeeper Part-Time

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Part-Time Bookkeeper to support our operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, with proficiency in QuickBooks Online accounting software and financial management tools. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organization by maintaining accurate records, accounts receivable/payable, and reconciling accounts.

Duties

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online.
• Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing procedures.
• Support payroll processing, including wage calculations and tax filings, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors.
• Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions, including debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in business accounting, non-profit accounting, or public accounting environments.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks online accounting software is essential.
• Strong understanding of GAAP standards and technical accounting concepts.
• Ability to perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis accurately.
• Familiarity with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and budgeting processes.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
