Role Description

This is a remote, contract-based role for a Maths US High School Tutor. The tutor will provide one-on-one, real-time online tutoring sessions to high school students, addressing their queries and clarifying complex mathematical concepts, particularly in algebra. Responsibilities include creating an engaging learning environment, demonstrating effective communication, and ensuring students grasp challenging content.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Mathematics, particularly Algebra
• Experience in Online Tutoring and direct Tutoring with high school students
• Excellent Communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts
• Empathy, patience, and a passion for teaching and helping students succeed
• Access to a reliable internet connection and suitable devices to conduct online sessions
• Relevant teaching or tutoring certifications and/or degrees in mathematics or related fields are a plus
