We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager/Barista to join our vibrant Gift Shop and café team. Duties

• Oversee daily café operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer experiences
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, utilizing expertise in food handling and food safety standards
• Manage cash handling, cashiering, and POS transactions using systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and food preparation tasks
• Provide training and support to team members to uphold service quality and operational standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café environment in compliance with health regulations
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and promote sales through friendly engagement
• Support sales goals by upselling products and creating a welcoming atmosphere for diverse clientele

Skills

• Proven experience as a Barista with strong coffee-making skills and knowledge of food industry standards
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transactions
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively in diverse settings
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate register balancing
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, food preparation, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to perform cashiering duties accurately while maintaining professionalism
• Experience in serving within a café or retail environment is highly desirable
• Competency in food industry practices including food service, food handling, and basic math calculations
