Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between the Gram Panchayat and other partner institutions involved in the project.
- Identify and enroll new participants into the program. Assist farmers with implementation (plantation / drip installation) and monitoring of the fields throughout the year.
- Conduct field surveys with community members and other rural landowners.
- Help the Field Manager to liaise with local bodies and government officials.
- Be the primary contact point between the Field Manager and farmers to maintain a healthy relationship.
- Maintain a log of inputs provided to the farmers and oversee nursery management.
- Other related duties or work as assigned by the Field Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and above; background in the agriculture sector, rural development, or social work is a major advantage.
- Good interpersonal skills and fluency in Marathi, Hindi, and English; proficiency in Marathi is mandatory.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Flexible and self-motivated, with a demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish harmonious relationships within communities.
- Attention to detail and ability to adapt to unstructured or fast-changing circumstances.
- Basic Excel skills required. Should be able to do documentation using a smartphone.
- Ability to manage high-level relationships with farmers.
- Ability and willingness to work in challenging field conditions.
- Willingness to travel to multiple project locations in rural areas.
- Valid driver's license and a motorcycle is mandatory.
