Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Field Technician role based in the Greater Coimbatore Area. The Field Technician will install, configure, and maintain Farmagain’s field equipment, including IoT sensors, irrigation and fertigation systems, and related hardware at customer sites. The role involves conducting regular field visits to monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operations. The Field Technician will collect and report field data, support system calibration, and collaborate with agronomists and engineers to optimize farm performance. The individual will also train farmers and on-ground staff on using the systems, document service activities, and provide clear feedback from the field to internal teams.

Practical skills in installing, configuring, and maintaining field hardware (e.g., Basic understanding of IoT or automation systems, with the ability to work with mobile apps or web dashboards for monitoring.

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or connectivity issues in the field.

Experience or strong interest in agriculture, irrigation, or farm operations, especially in open-field or protected cultivation.

Effective communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to farmers and local stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills for documenting service visits, maintaining logs, and reporting field observations accurately.

Comfort working outdoors in varied weather conditions and traveling frequently within the Greater Coimbatore Area.

Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).

Ability to work independently, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, agronomy, and customer support).

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to farms and customer locations as required.
