About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Content Marketing Specialist / SEO Writer to craft and refine engaging customer-focused content across our marketing, e-commerce, retail, restaurant, and brand channels. You will create both short-form and long-form copy for digital and print, including website content, product and category pages, landing pages, email and SMS campaigns, social media, blogs, and promotional materials. Your ability to adapt your writing style and apply SEO best practices will be key to enhancing our online visibility and customer interaction. Familiarity with premium cigars or lifestyle marketing is a plus but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Copywriting & Content Creation
• Produce and edit various forms of written content for digital and print, including promotional and educational materials.
• Generate copy for product pages, landing pages, email campaigns, SMS promotions, and social media.
• Support multiple channels including Famous Cigars, Cigar Advisor, Cigar Auctioneer, and Leaf Restaurant & Cigar Bar.
• Create engaging, customer-oriented content promoting products, sales, and brand stories.
• SEO Writing & Optimization
• Utilize your knowledge of SEO techniques to enhance content for better ranking and visibility.
• Revise web and blog content to meet SEO criteria and effectiveness while ensuring readability and brand voice.
• Collaborate with various departments to discover new content opportunities and optimize existing materials.
• Campaign & Channel Support
• Assist in developing content for product launches, seasonal promotions, and brand messaging.
• Adapt messaging according to target audiences and marketing goals.
• Ensure consistency of messaging across all Famous Cigars platforms.
• Editing, Proofreading & Quality Control
• Thoroughly review copy for accuracy, clarity, and brand alignment before publication.
• Maintain strong attention to detail to minimize errors and ensure high-quality output.
• Uphold brand voice and guidelines throughout all content.
• Collaboration & Workflow
• Work closely with teams across Marketing, Content, Design, and more to ensure project success.
• Gather comprehensive project details before commencing writing tasks.
• Manage multiple projects effectively to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience in copywriting or content creation.
• Experience in e-commerce, consumer products, or lifestyle brands is an advantage.
• Proficient in SEO best practices and techniques.
• Portfolio or writing samples are required.
• Knowledge of the cigar market is beneficial but not necessary.
