We work with 600 manufacturers across India, operate a 1.5-acre fulfilment centre in Bangalore, and serve corporate, retail, and export customers across 15 countries. We are now aggressively expanding into government and public sector supply — uniforms, workwear, protective clothing, and institutional apparel through GeM, CPPP, and state procurement portals. WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS The Indian government is the single largest buyer of uniforms and workwear in the country. From police and defence forces to railways, municipal workers, and school uniforms — the demand is massive, recurring, and growing. factori.com has the manufacturing capacity, the product range, and the fulfilment infrastructure. What we need is someone who knows the government procurement machinery inside out — someone who can find the right bids, win them, execute flawlessly, and collect every rupee owed. This is not a support role. You will own the entire government business vertical from day one. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Product Listing & Catalogue Management: Set up and maintain factori.com’s product catalogue on GeM — correct category/sub-category mapping, HSN codes, OEM/Reseller registration, brand approval, Make in India compliance declarations, and competitive price discovery.
• Bid Identification & Pipeline Building: Actively monitor GeM for relevant bids, Reverse Auctions (RAs), BoQ requirements, custom bids, and direct purchase opportunities in the apparel/uniforms/workwear categories. Build a weekly pipeline of actionable opportunities.
• Bid Preparation & Submission: Manage eligibility checks, prepare technical and financial bids, handle EMD (Earnest Money Deposit) and PBG (Performance Bank Guarantee) submissions, upload compliance documents, and ensure timely submission with zero errors.
• Contract Execution & Delivery Coordination: Once a contract is awarded, coordinate with the internal production and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery as per GeM contract terms — including quality checks, packaging specs, and consignee-specific requirements.
• Payment Collection & PFMS Follow-up: Generate invoices on the GeM portal, track payment status through PFMS, follow up with buyer accounting officers, and handle disputes or CRAC (Consignee Receipt and Acceptance Certificate) delays to ensure timely payment realisation.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain all GeM seller compliance requirements — caution deposit, OEM authorisation letters, Class I / Class II local content declarations, MSE / Women-Owned Enterprise preferences, and Startup certifications where applicable.
• Pricing Strategy: Analyse GeM marketplace pricing, competitor catalogue rates, and L1 bid trends to build winning pricing strategies without sacrificing margins. Work with the CEO on floor-price approvals for large bids.
• Beyond GeM — Expand the Government Footprint: Identify and respond to relevant tenders on CPPP (Central Public Procurement Portal / eProcure), state government procurement portals, Defence procurement, Railway tenders, and PSU purchasing channels.
• Reporting & MIS: Maintain a clear tracker of all active bids, awarded contracts, pending deliveries, and outstanding payments. Provide weekly updates to the Founder & CEO.
• Relationship Building: Build relationships with key government buyers, consignees, and procurement officers. Represent factori.com at GeM seller meets, trade fairs, and government procurement events. MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
• 3–6 years of hands-on experience working on the GeM portal as a seller — specifically in the apparel, uniforms, textiles, or workwear categories. We will verify your GeM seller dashboard during the interview.
• Proven track record of winning bids and RAs on GeM — not just listing products, but actually bidding, winning contracts, delivering, and collecting payments end-to-end.
• Deep knowledge of GeM seller compliance: caution deposit management, OEM vs. Reseller setup, brand approval workflows, Make in India / Class I–II local content rules, MSE preference policies, and GeM return/penalty policies.
• Experience with GeM payment lifecycle: CRAC generation, invoice upload, PFMS payment tracking, and follow-up with buyer DDOs (Drawing & Disbursing Officers) for payment release.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision. This is a build-from-scratch role — you will not have a team under you initially. You must be a self-starter who can manage the full cycle alone.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and Hindi. Ability to draft professional bid documents, correspondence with government officers, and internal reports. GOOD TO HAVE
• Familiarity with CPPP / eProcure, state government e-procurement portals, or Defence/Railway procurement processes.
• Prior experience supplying to Police, Paramilitary, Defence, Railways, Municipal Corporations, or State Government departments for uniforms or workwear.
• Knowledge of GST compliance, e-invoicing (IRN/IRP), and e-way bill generation for government supplies.
• Experience with GeM Sahay (vendor financing) or TReDS platforms for invoice discounting on government receivables.
• Kannada language skills (useful for Karnataka state government buyers).
