Duties

• Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, and harvesting crops using hand tools and farm machinery
• Provide attentive care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring health status
• Operate heavy equipment such as tractors, forklifts, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment and machinery, including welding and basic equipment troubleshooting
• Manage animal husbandry tasks like breeding, cleaning enclosures, and ensuring proper nutrition
• Support greenhouse activities by planting seedlings, managing climate controls, and maintaining horticultural standards
• Supervise or collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all farm activities

Skills

• Proven supervising experience in agricultural or farm settings
• Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery and equipment repair
• Strong animal handling skills with a focus on animal husbandry and care
• Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, power tools, and hand tools safely
• Experience with irrigation systems, greenhouse management, and horticulture practices
• Knowledge of farming techniques including growing experience and crop management
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting schedules or feed rations
• Physical ability for heavy lifting and performing manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
• Familiarity with welding techniques for equipment repair and maintenance
• Strong understanding of agriculture principles including animal husbandry and sustainable farming practices
