We are seeking a Field CTO – Public Sector to serve as the senior technical authority for our U.S. government business. Based in McLean or Richmond, you will partner directly with federal leaders, defense agencies, and public sector stakeholders to shape how AI-driven intelligence transforms mission delivery, national security, and supply chain resilience. This is a strategic, customer-facing executive role reporting into Public Sector leadership and working cross-functionally with Sales, Solutions, Product, and Engineering. This role owns the Pre-Sales Engineering function for the Public Sector segment and serves as the primary technical bridge between field requirements and the offices of the CPO and CTO.   <h2>Your Mission:</h2> As Field CTO, you will serve as Exiger’s executive technical voice within the U.S. Public Sector. You will translate complex AI capabilities into mission-ready solutions, helping agencies modernize risk detection, secure supply chains, enhance procurement visibility, and strengthen operational resilience. You will bridge customer strategy and platform innovation, ensuring Exiger’s AI solutions align with evolving government priorities, regulatory frameworks, and national security imperatives. You will own the technical win in public sector pursuits and lead Pre-Sales Engineering to deliver compelling, architecturally sound solutions that map to mission outcomes. <h2>What You’ll Do:</h2> <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Represent Exiger at defense, intelligence, and public sector industry forums as a thought leader in AI-driven risk and supply chain intelligence.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Translate real-world public sector challenges into actionable product insights, influencing the evolution of the 1Exiger platform. Formalize a feedback loop between field engagements and the offices of the CPO and CTO, translating customer business requirements into structured product requirements and feature priorities. </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Partner with systems integrators, defense primes, and ecosystem partners to accelerate adoption and long-term mission impact.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Lead high-impact discussions around AI-enabled risk intelligence, supply chain visibility, data architecture, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Develop reusable architectural frameworks and executive-level messaging to enable Public Sector sales and solution teams.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Support complex pursuits, including RFIs, RFPs, and strategic federal programs, validating secure and scalable architectures aligned with FedRAMP, FISMA, and DoD requirements.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Serve as the senior technical executive supporting Exiger’s U.S. Public Sector customers, engaging CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, acquisition leaders, and mission owners.</li> </ul> <h2>What You Bring:</h2> <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Exceptional executive communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical depth in terms of mission outcomes and operational value.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Deep credibility in enterprise architecture, cloud environments, AI/ML applications, and secure data environments. Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud architecture, including VPC design, IAM governance, encryption-at-rest/in-transit, and FedRamp boundary definition.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong understanding of U.S. Public Sector environments, including Federal and DoD procurement cycles, security and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, IL levels), and Defense Industrial Base (DIB) ecosystems. Familiarity with CMMC, FIPS, 140-2/3 cryptographic standards, and DoD cloud computing SRG requirements.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience influencing product direction or platform evolution based on field engagement. Demonstrated ability to translate complex customer business requirements into structured product requirements (epics, features, user stories) and present them to CPO/CTO-level stakeholders with supporting business justification.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Demonstrated experience engaging executive-level federal stakeholders on modernization, digital transformation, or national security initiatives.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">15+ years of progressive technical leadership experience including 5+ years in customer-facing pre-sales or solutions architecture within enterprise AI, data platforms, cybersecurity, supply chain technology, or mission-critical government systems.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Must be authorized to work in the United States; ability to obtain or maintain U.S. security clearance may be required.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience managing and developing pre-sales or solutions engineering teams of 5+ people, including hiring, performance management, and capability development.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Track record of supporting $5M+ public sector deal pursuits through technical leadership, architecture validation, and executive-level solution presentations.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Working knowledge of Snowflake, knowledge of graph architectures, and large-scale data platforms in regulated environments is strongly preferred.</li> </ul>   Preferred Qualifications <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The following are not required but will strengthen a candidacy:</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Active TS/SCI clearance or current Secret clearance with TS eligibility.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">AWS Solutions Architect - Professional or AWS GovCloud-specific certifications.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Prior experience at a FedRAMP-authorized SaaS vendor selling into DoD, IC, or civilian federal agencies.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Existing relationships with defense primes (e.g., Booz Allen, Leidos, SAIC, Deloitte) and federal systems integrators.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with supply chain risk management frameworks (SCRM), CFIUS processes, or trade compliance regimes (EAR/ITAR).</li> </ul> <h2>Why You'll Love Working at Exiger:</h2> At Exiger you’ll help strengthen national and economic security.
