Their work is driven by a commitment to measurable results, continuous innovation, and delivering value to growers and partners across the agricultural sector.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the development and application of a new product line, playing a hands-on role in generating the data that drives product decisions, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, execution-focused research environment.
In this role, you will play a role in the execution of research trials and generate the data required to validate and advance product development.
Execute compost trials across various feedstocks, applying defined variables such as inclusion rates, timing, and process conditions.
Evaluate compost performance by measuring factors such as odor, stability, nutrient retention, and overall product quality.
Agronomic Field Trials
Design and execute field trials across different crops and regions to assess product performance under real-world conditions.
Collect and analyze data related to yield, crop quality, soil response, and vegetation indices.
Test new product formulations and iterations to determine performance across composting and agronomic environments.
Identify successes and failures, providing clear, data-driven insights to guide product development decisions.
Data Collection & Reporting
Ensure accurate, consistent, and defensible data collection across all trials.
Maintain a high level of ownership over research activities, ensuring timelines, protocols, and quality standards are met.
Post-secondary education in agriculture, soil science, biology, or a related field is preferred.
- 3–7 years of experience in agronomy, soil science, compost systems, or biological research.
- Hands-on experience executing field trials or compost trials in operational environments.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of soil fertility, biological systems, and agricultural practices.
Experience with data collection, trial design, and performance evaluation.
Familiarity with composting systems, humic substances, or soil amendments is an asset.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple trials or projects simultaneously.
Clear communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
