About the Role
We are seeking a driven and relationship focused Account Manager to support and drive new business growth within our Electrical Department. This role is focused on prospecting, opening doors, and closing new accounts. You will focus on new customer acquisition, while also supporting existing accounts as needed.
This is an ideal role for a self starter who thrives on building a pipeline, winning new customers and being rewarded for results.
- Project based electrical sales:
Commercial or Industrial projects with multi-month bid cycles
- Contractor focused sales:
Building strong relationships with electrical contractors, independent builders, and specialty trades to generate repeat and high margin business
Success is measured primarily by new revenue generation and gross margin contribution.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect and develop new accounts in project, and contractor markets
- Build and maintain relationships with electrical contractors, trade partners and subcontractors
- Identify and pursue opportunities in commercial, industrial and contractor markets
- Manage full sales cycle from lead generation to contract award or order fulfilment
- Build and maintain a strong new business pipeline
- Prepare and present quotes, proposals, pricing and bids with internal support teams
- Conduct in person customer meetings and site visits
- Meet and exceed new business revenue and margin targets
- Transition won accounts to long term account management or internal teams as appropriate
- Maintain accurate sales activity through Salesforce and CRM platforms (Contractor Foreman)
- Achieve assigned revenue, margin and growth targets
- Collaborate with operations and finance to ensure customer satisfaction Stay current on electrical products, industry trends and market developments
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- 3+ years of new business sales (hunter) experience, preferable in electrical, construction, distribution, technical sales or contractor markets
- Proven track record of closing new accounts and generating revenue
- Comfort with cold calling prospecting, networking and in person selling
- Strong communication, negotiation, closing and relationship-building skills.
- Results-driven, competitive, highly self-motivated and organized
- Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce and Contractor Foreman) and strong pipeline management discipline
- 309a Journeyman considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive Base Wage: $75,000
Commission: GM% based on targets, est.$50-$75k
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
