L1 and L2 Networking Engineer

You are seeking a Network Operations & Support Engineer position in Hyderabad, where you will be responsible for managing day-to-day network and system operations with a focus on Routing and Switching fundamentals. Your role will involve proactive monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and basic firewall configuration. Additionally, you should be prepared to travel to customer locations when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor network and system health using monitoring tools
• Handle incidents, alerts, and service requests via ticketing tools
• Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and availability issues
• Configure and maintain routing and switching environments
• Perform basic firewall configuration and troubleshooting
• Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, or external support teams as needed
• Maintain documentation and operational records
• Provide on-site support at customer locations as required

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of CCNA & CCNP Routing and Switching concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and Trunking
• Knowledge of basic STP and routing concepts, DNS, DHCP, NAT
• Familiarity with ticketing and Monitoring tools
• Basic Wireless & Access Point Knowledge
• Basic firewall configuration and troubleshooting skills
• Basic troubleshooting skills for Windows and Linux operating systems

Education & Certifications:

• Diploma / B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc in IT, Computer Science, or Networking
• Mandatory CCNA certification or equivalent hands-on knowledge
• Preferred CCNP knowledge or exposure

Soft Skills & Other Requirements:

• Good communication and coordination skills
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
• Willingness to travel to customer locations as per project requirements
