<p><span data-contrast="auto">We are hiring a tax product leader to build and train the next generation of tax AI products. This person should bring strong indirect-tax judgment and use that expertise to help our products perform accurately and effectively on real-world customer problems. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of how sales and use tax works across multiple states, industries, and transaction types, and is excited to work hands-on with engineers, product teams, customers, and partners to train the product to perform at the highest level on real-world customer problems.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"335559738":240,"335559739":240}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">This role is centered on applying domain expertise to train the product. The person in this role will research nuanced tax issues, test workflows and outputs, provide clear feedback to engineering, and lead customer and partner onboarding and implementation efforts.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"335559738":240,"335559739":240}"> </span></p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>

<li><span data-contrast="auto">Use deep sales and use tax expertise to train the product across a broad range of jurisdictions, industries, and transaction scenarios.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"335559738":240,"335559739":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Research nuanced tax issues and apply that judgment to evaluate and strengthen how the product performs.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"335559738":240,"335559739":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Partner closely with engineering and product teams to test outputs, identify gaps, and continuously improve product accuracy, consistency, and coverage.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"335559738":240,"335559739":240}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Build and refine testing scenarios that push the product to perform at the highest level on complex customer problems.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"335559738":240,"335559739":240}"> </span></li>

</ul>
<h3 data-section-id="1qhx44" data-start="800" data-end="820">Qualifications</h3>
<ul data-start="821" data-end="1330">
<li data-section-id="1etxog8" data-start="821" data-end="919">6–10 years of experience in indirect tax, with a strong focus on multi-state sales and use tax</li>
<li data-section-id="1j7mnvx" data-start="920" data-end="1041">Experience beyond routine compliance, including exposure to substantive tax issues and operational tax considerations</li>
<li data-section-id="1oyzfme" data-start="1042" data-end="1144">Background in <strong data-start="1058" data-end="1092">Big 4, industry, or government</strong> (or similarly rigorous tax environment) preferred</li>
<li data-section-id="1ruj279" data-start="1145" data-end="1204">Experience working across multiple industries is a plus</li>
<li data-section-id="10bprkn" data-start="1205" data-end="1330">Proven experience interacting with tax authorities (e.g., audits, notices, refund claims, rulings, voluntary disclosures)</li>

<li data-section-id="1yszb2f" data-start="1434" data-end="1522">Comfortable testing systems/products and applying domain judgment to improve outputs</li>
<li data-section-id="1neplsp" data-start="1523" data-end="1624">Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams</li>
<li data-section-id="1s3ec7p" data-start="1625" data-end="1694">Experience managing or leading customer and partner relationships</li>
<li data-section-id="1lsxwr7" data-start="1695" data-end="1806">Technology-savvy with a willingness to work closely with product and engineering teams (no coding required)</li>
<li data-section-id="j3z8nz" data-start="1807" data-end="1890">Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings and team collaboration</li>
