Company Highlights:

  • Ranked seventh in Canada’s Top 500 Fastest Growing Companies
  • Ethos Automation co-founders recognized in the Top 10 under 40 from Annex Media Manufacturing Automation Magazine
  • Room for advancement – professional development opportunities with assisted financial support
  • Employee engagement events
  • On site training and mentorship
  • Engaging and diverse workplace environment

As ETHOS continues to grow, maintaining and deepening our relationships with key automotive accounts while pursuing new market opportunities is a top priority. The Business Development Coordinator will play a vital support role in making this happen — keeping our customer touchpoints consistent, our pipeline organized, and our proposals moving. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing, this is a full-time permanent position based in Brantford, Ontario, with occasional regional travel to customer sites.

What does a day at ETHOS as a Business Development Coordinator look like?

  • You will start each day knowing exactly where things stand — open opportunities in Zoho CRM are up to date, customer commitments are tracked, and the Director has everything they need to focus on strategic selling
  • Much of your time will be spent coordinating with key accounts — scheduling touchpoint meetings and site visits, sending agendas and follow-up notes, and flagging upcoming renewal or re-engagement windows before they slip
  • You will liaise with our engineering and project management teams to gather inputs for quotes, format and assemble proposals under the Director’s direction, and track quote status with follow-up cadences on open items
  • You will help onboard new customers post-award — coordinating internally to ensure a smooth handoff from sale to project kickoff, and following up on outstanding purchase orders and contracts so nothing falls through the cracks
  • You will maintain and update account plans for key customers, tracking goals, history, open opportunities, and next steps so the team always has a clear picture
  • No two days are the same — one day you may be preparing opportunity summaries ahead of a GM review meeting, the next you’re coordinating a customer site visit or helping develop a proposal for a new opportunity
  • This role is a defined stepping stone into a full Business Development role. As you grow into the accounts and demonstrate your capabilities, your responsibilities will expand accordingly

What you will need to be successful in this role?

  • 2–4 years of experience in a sales support, account coordination, or business development role
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms — experience with Zoho is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail — you don’t let things slip
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, professional proposals, summaries, and correspondence
  • Comfortable coordinating across internal teams including engineering and project management
  • Self-starter who takes ownership without needing to be micromanaged
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Exposure to industrial automation, manufacturing, or the automotive supply chain is a strong asset
  • Ability to travel occasionally within the local and regional area for customer meetings and site visits
