Job Description

EProcureAI (www.eprocureai.com) is an AI-powered eProcurement SaaS platform that makes procurement simple for government contractors, healthcare, construction, education, and technology companies. We handle smart intake, AI-driven sourcing, reverse auctions, compliance automation, supplier collaboration, and spend management all in one platform.

We’re looking for a UI/UX Design co-op student to own the design experience of our product. This is not a logo-making role. You’ll design the interfaces, workflows, and interactions that real procurement professionals use every day to manage millions of dollars in purchasing. You’ll ship real features to real users.

What You’ll Do

Product Design (Core Responsibility)

  • Design end-to-end user flows for procurement workflows: requisition intake, approval routing, purchase order creation, supplier bidding, and contract management
  • Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma for new features and feature improvements
  • Design the UI for EProcureAI’s AI-powered features: smart intake forms, AI sourcing recommendations, reverse auction dashboards, compliance alert panels, and spend analytics views
  • Redesign and polish existing screens to improve usability, accessibility, and visual consistency across the platform
  • Build and maintain a component library / design system using EProcureAI’s brand color (#4A2C75), typography, and visual language
  • Design responsive layouts for desktop and tablet (procurement users work primarily on desktop but increasingly on tablets in the field)

User Research & Testing

  • Participate in user research sessions with procurement professionals and beta users to understand pain points and workflow needs
  • Conduct usability testing on new designs and iterate based on user feedback
  • Create user personas and journey maps for EProcureAI’s core user types: Procurement Managers, Contract Specialists, Budget Owners, and Suppliers/Vendors
  • Analyze competitor UX (SAP Ariba, Coupa, Zycus, Jaggaer) and identify design opportunities where EProcureAI can differentiate

Marketing & Brand Design

  • Design social media graphics for LinkedIn posts and articles using the EProcureAI brand system (#4A2C75 accent, natural imagery)
  • Create Product Hunt launch assets: screenshots, GIFs, feature highlight cards, and the listing’s visual gallery
  • Design email templates for onboarding sequences, product updates, and launch campaigns
  • Support pitch deck and investor presentation design as needed

What You’ll Learn

  • How to design complex B2B SaaS workflows procurement UX is one of the most challenging design problems in enterprise software
  • How to design for AI-powered interfaces: recommendation panels, smart forms, autonomous agents, and real-time alert systems
  • How to build a design system from scratch for a growing SaaS product
  • How to conduct user research with enterprise users (government contractors, procurement officers) who think very differently from consumer users
  • How to balance compliance requirements with great UX in regulated industries, every screen has legal and audit implications
  • How a startup ships design: fast iteration cycles, direct collaboration with engineering, and design decisions that directly impact revenue
  • How procurement and government contracting work a massive market most designers never get exposure to

What’s in It for You

  • Academic credit coordination we work directly with your university’s co-op office (Sheridan, OCAD, Humber, George Brown, TMU, York, Waterloo, etc.)
  • A signed letter of recommendation from the Founder
  • LinkedIn recommendation upon successful completion
  • A portfolio case study you’ll actually be proud of: "Designed the UX for an AI procurement platform used by government contractors"
  • Your name credited as Founding Designer on EProcureAI’s website and launch materials
  • Free lifetime access to EProcureAI (Founding Contributor tier)
  • Mentorship from the founding team on product design, SaaS, and startup operations
  • Figma Education license support if needed
  • A direct reference for future product design, UX, or SaaS roles

Who Should Apply

  • Currently enrolled in a UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related program at a Canadian college or university
  • Available for Spring 2026 co-op term (May – August 2026)
  • Proficient in Figma (required) wireframes, prototyping, auto-layout, and component variants
  • Strong visual design skills: typography, layout, color theory, spacing, hierarchy
  • Portfolio showing at least 2–3 projects with end-to-end UX process (research → wireframe → prototype → final design)
  • Self-starter comfortable working remotely with a small, fast-moving startup team
  • Interest in SaaS, enterprise software, or AI products
  • Bonus: Experience with design systems, component libraries, or atomic design principles
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Framer, Webflow, or front-end basics (HTML/CSS)
  • Bonus: Experience designing data-heavy dashboards, tables, or analytics views

Tools We Use

  • Figma primary design tool (wireframes, prototypes, design system, handoff)
  • FigJam brainstorming, journey mapping, user flows
  • Loom async design reviews and walkthroughs
  • Notion project management, design specs, research notes
  • Slack daily communication
  • GitHub developer handoff and issue tracking
  • Vercel / Next.js EProcureAI’s tech stack (good to understand, not required to code)
