Independent Delivery Partner (Courier)

About the Opportunity:

Do you prefer the consistency of parcel delivery over the unpredictability of ride-sharing or food delivery? Envoi is looking for reliable Independent Delivery Partners to join our fast-growing logistics network in the GTA!

The Services:

• Perform package pickups from our Distribution Centre in Vaughan (starting around 3:00 PM).
• Ensure the successful delivery of a manifest (typically 45-55 small-to-medium packages) within a designated service area.
• Maintain professional communication with customers via the Envoi partner app.

What You Provide (Your Tools):

• Vehicle: A reliable 4-door sedan or larger in good working order.
• Expenses: You are responsible for all vehicle-related costs (fuel, maintenance, and insurance).
• Technology: A smartphone (Android or iOS) with a data plan for GPS and to access the Envoi partner app.

Compensation & Payment Terms:

• Service Fees: Contractors earn a flat Service Fee per assigned route, typically ranging from $110.00 - $150.00 CAD. This flat fee is calculated prior to assignment by multiplying your specific hourly rate tier ($22.50/hour) by the route's Estimated Time. Note: If you finish your route sooner than the Estimated Time, you will still get paid for the full Estimated Time, meaning that your effective hourly earnings for the time spent driving can be significantly higher!
• Payment Cycle: Service fees are processed weekly on a one-week administrative lag. This ensures all route completions and adjustments are verified before funds are released.
• How it Works (example):
• Service Period: Monday, May 4 – Sunday, May 10.
• Payment Date: Monday, May 18 (The second Monday following the start of the week).
• Consistency: Because of this fixed processing lag, if you do not provide services during a specific week, you will not receive a payment on the corresponding date two weeks later. When you resume services after a break, the standard one-week lag applies to your first new invoice.
• Business Relationship: As an independent partner, you are responsible for your own tax remittances (CPP, EI, and Income Tax). Payments are made via direct deposit.

Service Availability & Timing

• Pickup Window: To ensure timely delivery to customers, package manifests are available for pickup at the Envoi Distribution Centre starting at 3:00 PM.
• Service Completion: To meet our customer delivery standards, all assigned packages must be delivered by 10:00 PM on the day of pickup.
• Flexibility: As an independent partner, you manage your own pace and routing once you have retrieved your manifest. Most partners find that routes typically require 4–6 hours of active delivery time.

Additional Information:

• Independence: While we provide a suggested manifest, you have the discretion to determine the most efficient delivery sequence.
• Safety: All partners must successfully complete a criminal background check to ensure platform safety.
• Flexibility: This is a contract-based relationship. You choose the days you are available to accept route offers.
