Financial Analyst

<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p> <p>The FP&amp;A Analyst – Mainframe will be responsible for supporting the financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes related to the Mainframe business unit. This role will focus on cost tracking, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and providing actionable insights to drive cost efficiency and profitability tracking for the Mainframe business unit.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li style="color: #323130 !important;"> <p><span style="color: #323130;"><strong>Cost Data Collection &amp; Validation</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="color: #323130 !important;"> <p><span style="color: #323130;">Collect, validate, and reconcile cost data from various internal systems and external sources particularly for Hardware and Software</span></p> </li> <li style="color: #323130 !important;"> <p><span style="color: #323130;">Maintain and update cost tracking spreadsheets, databases, and financial models.</span></p> </li> <li style="color: #323130 !important;"> <p><span style="color: #323130;">Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all cost-related reports and analyses.</span></p> </li> </ul> </li> <li style="color: #323130 !important;"> <p><span style="color: #323130;"><strong>Cost Reporting &amp; Analysis</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="color: #323130 !important;"> <p><span style="color: #323130;">Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly cost reports to relevant stakeholders.</span></p> </li> <li style="color: #323130 !important;"> <p><span style="color: #323130;">Analyze actual costs versus budget and forecast, identifying and explaining variances and tracking against expected customer deal models</span></p> </li> <li style="color: #323130 !important;"> <p><span style="color: #323130;">Monitor and report on key cost metrics and KPIs.</span></p> </li> <li style="color: #323130 !important;"> <p><span style="color: #323130;">Support the preparation of management presentations and cost review decks.</span></p> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Budgeting &amp; Forecasting:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for cost centers and spend categories.</p> </li> <li> <p>Work closely with business units to gather cost inputs and validate assumptions.</p> </li> </ul> </li> <li style="color: #323130 !important;"> <p><span style="color: #323130;"><strong>Data Management &amp; System Support</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="color: #323130 !important;"> <p><span style="color: #323130;">Enter and update cost data in financial systems and tools (primarily Workday Adaptive).</span></p> </li> <li style="color: #323130 !important;"> <p><span style="color: #323130;">Assist with system reconciliations and data integrity checks.</span></p> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Process Improvement:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance cost tracking and reporting accuracy.</p> </li> <li> <p>Support automation and standardization of cost analysis processes including by leveraging company-approved AI tools.</p> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <p><strong>Ad-hoc Analysis:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Conduct ad-hoc cost analysis and scenario modeling as required by management.</p> </li> <li> <p>Support internal and external audit requests related to cost data.</p> </li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.</p> </li> <li> <p>1-3 years of experience in FP&amp;A, cost analysis, or related finance roles.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong analytical and quantitative skills.</p> </li> <li> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Adaptive, etc.) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.</p> </li> <li> <p>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</p> </li> <li> <p>Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Professional certification (CMA, CPA, CFA) is an advantage.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience in [IT / IT Infrastructure / Cloud Services] preferred.<br>&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul>
