Lead Hand for Agricultural Research

Play a pivotal role in research with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada as a Lead Hand. Contribute to field trials, operate equipment, and support research assistants in hands-on activities. This full-time temporary position requires a dedicated individual to assist in research planning and execution.

Your skills in operating farm equipment and applying chemicals will be crucial in maintaining trials and supporting the team. Engage in various agricultural activities, including harvesting and data collection, as you help advance agricultural research initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain agricultural research equipment
• Assist in trial setup, seeding, and harvesting
• Handle and apply specific agricultural chemicals
• Support research assistants with field notes and planning
• Organize samples for shipping and receiving Requirements:
• Secondary school diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating farm equipment and chemicals
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Prior agricultural research or supervisory experience
