Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Home Health Care Administrator to oversee the operations of our home health care agency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care for our clients while managing staff, budgets, and compliance with regulations. This role requires a strong background in health care management.
You will help create and implement policies, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and help establish operational workflows as the agency grows. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment and is comfortable with a dynamic, fast-paced work culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support: Handle all essential administrative functions, including patient intake, scheduling, and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Process Development: Help design and refine operational processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance as the agency scales.
- Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all services meet state and federal regulations and industry standards. Maintain proper documentation to support accreditation and audits.
- Staff & Team Coordination: Assist with coordinating care teams, ensuring timely and effective communication between caregivers, nurses, and patients.
- Client Relations: Serve as a liaison between clients and the agency, addressing patient and family concerns with professionalism and care.
- Billing & Insurance: Assist with insurance verification, billing inquiries, and coordination of payments for services rendered.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare operational reports, monitor performance metrics, and maintain up-to-date patient and service documentation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in healthcare administration, preferably in a home health or startup setting. Skills:
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in healthcare management software and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of home health regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Working Conditions:
- This is a PRN position, requiring flexible hours based on the agency's needs. Expect to work on an as-needed basis, which may include evenings, weekends, or occasional holidays.
- The position may involve remote work or on-site duties depending on the specific tasks and agency needs at the time.
- As a startup, the role may involve a variety of administrative tasks and will require someone comfortable with evolving job responsibilities.

Requirements
- Proven experience in home care or healthcare administration, preferably non skilled personal care agency.
- Excellent operations management skills with a focus on enhancing service delivery.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and resource management.
- Ability to supervise staff effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
- Understanding of resident rights and commitment to advocating for client welfare.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact compassionately with clients and families.
