Contract Network Engineer with Cisco Skills

Support network engineering for a telecom client as a Network Engineer. Utilize hands-on skills in Cisco routing, troubleshooting, and documentation in a hybrid work setting.

This contract role focuses on maintaining and configuring network systems. You will design and troubleshoot routing protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP. Collaborate with other engineers, document environments, and respond to technical requests while contributing to network transformation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and configure Cisco networking systems
• Troubleshoot routing protocols for reliable connectivity
• Document configurations and network processes accurately
• Assist in network transformation projects and client support
• Manage IP-based networks effectively

Requirements

• 3–5 years’ experience in network engineering
• Strong hands-on skills with Cisco technologies
• Familiarity with Access Networks and DOCSIS technology
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Java
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, especially Visio and Excel
