Project Summary
The Engineer for MS365 SP/Teams serves as the Level 3 (L3) authority within the service domain, acting as the final escalation point for complex operational issues. This role is responsible for ensuring the health, stability, and continuous improvement of the service, as well as enhancing service maturity and meeting operational KPIs through standardization and knowledge creation.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as the highest escalation point within Operations before cases are escalated to the Platform SME.
- Resolve complex SharePoint and Microsoft Teams incidents.
- Perform deep technical troubleshooting and coordinate with SMEs for product-level issues.
- Lead technical bridges during major incidents.
- Coach L1/L2 engineers through complex cases.
- Ensure stability and reliability of SharePoint and Teams services on a day-to-day basis.
- Execute operational procedures defined with the SME.
- Track and drive service quality metrics within Operations.
- Develop and maintain operational knowledge base and troubleshooting guides.
- Lead problem investigations for recurring incidents.
Key Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, especially with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
- Proven experience in L3/senior support or operations engineering roles.
- Deep troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across M365 workloads.
- Experience working with ITSM processes: Incident, Problem, Change, and Knowledge Management.
- Ability to analyze logs and diagnose complex issues.
- Experience maintaining runbooks, KB articles, and support documentation.
- Good understanding of service reliability and operational KPIs.
- Hands-on experience with PowerShell for basic automation.
- Experience in enterprise or large-scale environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Microsoft Purview in the context of SharePoint/Teams.
- Knowledge of Defender for Office/Defender for Cloud Apps.
- Experience with Power Platform integrations.
- Scripting experience beyond basics.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, SC-300).

This position is a hybrid role based in Pune, focusing on the operation and support of Microsoft 365 services. Candidates should be prepared to work within the CET time zone.
