Role: Digital Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and manage Docker containers and images in development and production environments
- Support container orchestration activities using Kubernetes and Docker Swarm
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline deployment processes
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines using Git workflows
- Assist in implementing and managing cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms
- Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles for environment provisioning and configuration
- Monitor containerized applications and respond to performance issues
- Debug and troubleshoot application issues in containerized environments
- Maintain documentation for deployment processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- Hands-on experience with Docker (container creation, image management, Docker Compose)
- Working knowledge of container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes or Docker Swarm)
- Programming/scripting proficiency in at least one language (Python, Bash, Go, or similar)
- Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar)
- Basic knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Understanding of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar)
Education Requirements:
BE in Computer Science/IT, or Engineering (or equivalent work experience)
Travel may be required to other Manufacturing sites in US and/or Europe.
