INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE IN-HOUSE EDITOR (.5) AND EVENT SERVICES (.5)
The successful candidate will provide confidential senior administrative support to the Human Resources Officer and to the In-House Editor. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Human Resources:
- Organize and maintain accurate employee files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies
- Respond to employee inquiries, offering clear guidance on HR policies and procedures
- Prepare and distribute various employment-related correspondence, such as confirmation of employment, probationary period letters, and retirement notices
- Maintain and update electronic tracking systems to ensure accurate recording of employee leave entitlements
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR databases, generating reports on key HR metrics as needed
- Provide general administrative support with the recruitment process, including scheduling interviews, preparing documents, preparing and delivering new hire orientation packages
- Assist with benefits enrollment, ensuring employees are properly enrolled and have the necessary information about their benefits options
In-House Editing Services:
- Creating and maintaining accurate databases related to the assigned area of responsibility with the ability to retrieve and manipulate data quickly and efficiently
- Liaise with executive staff, local presidents, local members, and school board officials on a daily basis ensuring professionalism at all times
- Answer/screen telephone calls in a courteous, professional, and timely manner ensuring the confidentiality of conversations and information
- Other duties as assigned by the manager or designate, including, but not limited to catering and reception relief
Skills required for this position may include, but are not limited to:
- Proven ability to handle sensitive employee information with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify and address needs
- Advanced technological skills in Microsoft Office 365 with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software
- Ability to safely lift approximately 10 lbs or more
The expected compensation range for this position is $69,898 - $88,496 from Scale B2-B7.

Pay: $69,898.00-$88,496.00 per year
