As a Research Assistant at our company, you will play a crucial role in supporting project and market data collection for EPC projects across various infrastructure sectors. Your responsibilities will include web-based research, monitoring project pipelines and tenders, and data tabulation to facilitate bid strategy, prospect identification, and long-term business planning.
- *Qualifications Required:**
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is preferred; Economics, Business, Finance, or a related discipline would also be considered
- 2-6 years of experience in market research, market intelligence, research analysis, or business research, preferably in EPC, infrastructure, or industrial sectors
- Strong research, analytical, and synthesis skills
- Understanding of EPC project lifecycles, procurement models, and tendering processes
- Ability to convert large datasets and unstructured information into actionable insights
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with databases or BI tools is an advantage but not necessary
- Strong written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines independently
- Prior experience supporting bid, tendering, or business development teams
- Exposure to multi-sector EPC markets and regional project tracking
- Familiarity with tender portals, market intelligence platforms, and public data sources

- **Market & Sector Research**
- Conduct ongoing research on EPC markets across infrastructure sectors (e.g., marine, logistics, etc.)
- Track sector trends, policy developments, budget announcements, and regulatory changes impacting EPC opportunities
- Develop sector snapshots and market outlook notes for internal stakeholders
- Stay updated on emerging infrastructure trends, contracting models, and policy developments
- **Project & Opportunity Intelligence**
- Identify and track upcoming, planned, and live EPC projects and tenders across target geographies
- Monitor project pipelines at early planning and pre-tender stages to support forward-looking opportunity visibility
- Maintain internal databases of tenders/projects
- **Competitive & Client Intelligence**
- Track competitor activity, project awards, bidding patterns, and market positioning
- Develop profiles of key developers, consultants, and EPC players
- Support benchmarking of the company's positioning across sectors and regions
- **Data Analysis & Internal Reporting**
- Analyze market and project data to identify trends, opportunity clusters, and priority projects
- Prepare market intelligence reports, dashboards, presentations, and briefing notes for senior management
- Provide research inputs to business development and tender teams during opportunity evaluation stages
- **Cross-Functional Support**
- Work closely with Sales, Leadership, and Client teams
- Respond to ad-hoc research requests related to projects, sectors, geographies, or competitors
- Support internal planning exercises, annual strategy updates, and pipeline reviews
