About ECG Holdings Ltd.

ECG Holdings Ltd. operates across cultivation, processing, and retail within the cannabis industry, with a focus on building scalable, compliant, and high-quality operations. We are a growing, multi-entity business focused on operational excellence, strategic expansion, and long-term value creation.

About the Role

We are seeking a high-performing Finance Manager (CPA) to take full ownership of the finance function across a multi-entity business. This role operates at a group level, overseeing financial performance, reporting, and controls across all business units.

This is a hands-on role that combines strategic oversight with day-to-day execution. You will be responsible for building, managing, and refining the financial infrastructure of the business, while ensuring the accuracy, discipline, and efficiency of core accounting and administrative functions.

The role is hybrid, based in Vancouver, combining in-office and remote work, with periodic travel to our Sechelt and 70 Mile House facilities to ensure alignment between financial reporting, operations, and compliance requirements (including CRA and Health Canada).

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead all financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Prepare and deliver accurate, timely financial statements and consolidated group reporting
  • Build and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, growth, and capital decisions
  • Drive cost control, margin optimization, and financial performance across all business units
  • Partner directly with ownership and leadership to provide clear, actionable financial insights and recommendations
  • Oversee and execute core accounting and administrative functions, including:
  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • Payroll oversight and coordination
  • General ledger maintenance and reconciliations
  • Month-end and year-end close processes
  • Lead audit processes, support external reviews, and ensure readiness for financial and regulatory audits
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiencies
  • Research, prepare, and submit grant applications and non-dilutive funding opportunities
  • Manage lender reporting, financing support, and capital planning initiatives
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements, including cannabis-specific obligations
  • Assess and improve financial controls, risk management processes, and internal systems
  • Travel to facilities to ensure financial accuracy, controls, and operational alignment

Requirements

  • CPA designation (required)
  • 5+ years of experience in a Finance Manager or senior accounting role
  • Strong command of financial reporting, forecasting, audit processes, and cash flow management
  • Experience operating in multi-entity and/or multi-location environments
  • Proficiency with accounting systems, financial tools, and reporting platforms
  • Comfortable balancing strategic responsibilities with hands-on execution
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone who takes full ownership of the finance function, from strategy through execution
  • A leader who can move seamlessly between high-level thinking and detailed administrative follow-through
  • A problem-solver who identifies inefficiencies and implements practical, measurable solutions
  • A professional who is confident working directly with ownership, lenders, auditors, and external partners
  • Someone who has previously operated with full ownership of the finance function or is ready to step into that level of responsibility

Compensation

Base Salary: $100,000 – $110,000

(based on experience and capability)

Performance Bonus:

Annual bonus of up to $5,000, awarded based on measurable impact in driving cost efficiencies, securing grant opportunities, and improving internal systems, processes, and departmental workflows.

Why This Role

  • Direct exposure to ownership and strategic decision-making
  • Opportunity to operate at a group level across multiple business lines
  • Involvement in financing, expansion, and capital strategy initiatives
  • Ability to build and refine systems that directly impact company performance and growth
  • A role with real ownership, accountability, and influence

Important Note

This is a hands-on role. You will be expected to take ownership of both strategic financial planning and the underlying administrative and accounting functions that support it. Candidates seeking a purely high-level or non-operational role will not be a fit.
