Position Title: Electrical Apprentice, Mid-Term (2nd, 3rd and 4th year)

We are a rapidly growing local BC-based Electrical and Communications Contractor specializing in commercial and residential electrical and communication systems. Position Type: Full time
Location: Vancouver, Lower Mainland, Sea to Sky
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Reporting Structure: You will directly report to the Journey-person and Foreman.
- Quality Alignment: Consistently produce high-quality work that aligns with the company’s vision and mission, contributing to our reputation for excellence.
- Job Site Set Up: Collaborate with site Journey-persons and Foreman to organize and set up the job site, project materials and equipment for installation.
- Electrical Work: Install electrical and communications devices, fixtures, equipment, raceway, and cabling as instructed to meet the electrical code and ensure safety and reliability.
- Safety Commitment: Uphold a safe work environment by strictly adhering to all company guidelines and safety requirements and promptly reporting violations to your supervisor.
- Elevated Work: Safely use ladders, scaffolding, platforms, and lifts to work on electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Blueprints and Specifications: Capable and willing to learn to read and interpret blueprints.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to take direction and effectively communicate issues, conflicts and changes to your direct supervisor.
Must have Requirements:
- Minimum of either a pre-apprenticeship program or two years of experience working in a skilled trade within the commercial and residential industries.
- Eligible for enrolment with Skilled Trades BC.
- We will consider indenturing someone after a 6-month trial period.
- General understanding of electrical systems, procedures and safety.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Valid BC driver's license or a driver's license recognized in BC and access to a vehicle are required.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate cloud-based software.
- Display enthusiasm and a willingness to be part of a positive team environment.
- Reliability is a must.
- Must be bondable.
- Must reside in the Greater Vancouver Area.
Desirable Skills and Certifications but Not Required:
- Willingness to learn and develop.
- Customer service experience of some type.
- Experience working with tools
- Construction Safety Training System Certificate (CSTS) or equivalent.
- Fall arrest and motorized lift certification.

Compensation
- Competitive wage structure, starting at $22+ per hour.
