About the Data Engineer Career Opportunity

The Data Engineer plays a pivotal role in advancing our data infrastructure, serving as the foundation of our AI and Data Analytics strategies. The position will be responsible for developing, deploying, and managing data engineering projects. Their primary focus is to assist the VP of Emerging Technologies in architecting the data platform (on premise, cloud and hybrid), data pipeline development, data governance and performance monitoring. Will also use AI in support of data management capabilities.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in data engineering, Information Systems or related technical field along with 5+ years’ experience in data engineering (building data pipes, data lakes, data warehouse). Must be proficient in constructing and managing modern data warehouse and data lake house architectures, ensuring scalable and efficient data storage and skilled in building and maintaining robust data pipelines and orchestrations, with a focus on scalability and reliability. The position requires deep knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes for data transformation and integration along with experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and orchestration tools as well as Data Governance - Data Quality Controls, General Ledger Reconciliations, Transmission and interface controls. Must be proficient in SQL and Python, with experience in data storage frameworks (Apache Spark, Databricks, or Hadoop).Banking & Financial Services data domain knowledge is strongly preferred.
