Overview The Contracts Manager manages the contracts and subcontracts function and performs contract negotiation, analysis, administration, proposal preparation, and customer contact related to contract acquisition and fulfillment.
Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Facilitates and coordinates Business Development (BD) materials and data points for the proposal teams
Attends BD meetings and collaborates with proposal managers and coordinators to ensure the proper contractual representation of the company
Serves as one of the primary liaisons between the Contracts Department and opportunities that are being pursued by Edgewater’s sectors
Manages the development of contract policies, procedures, methods, operating practices, and performance standards for contractual programs.
Facilitates effective implementation of contract responsibilities within program objectives and requirements.
Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.
Reviews completed New Contract/Task Order Checklist for newly awarded contract/task orders.
Maintains contract files and all modifications to contract subtasksCompletes Contract/TO Modification Review Forms as necessary.
Conducts contract file reviews monthly.
Monitors contracts, mods, and requirements.
Manages contract subtasks for each contract.
Recommends actions and expenditures for TOs and those that fall outside normal business practices of its supporting contractors and subcontractors.
Ensures all required documentation and data are submitted in accordance with deliverables schedule.
Maintains the Contract Master Tracker (Excel format) for all contracts and subtasks.
Informs Client Services Manager of any technical or contractual problems or delays.
Maintains administration records, reviews invoices, and performs inspection of work/labor categories/hours performed under the contract.
Provides quality control review of all document deliverables.
Monitors contract progress in fulfilling technical requirements specified by the client or the prime contractor.
Initiates Non-Disclosure and Teaming Agreements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
5-7 years of experience working with all aspects of Contracts - Contract Administration, Contract Close-out, etc.
Internal training/on-the-job training about the basic contract working procedures.
Special training/on-the-job training about company contract procedures.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifteen (15) pounds.
May require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding).
