Temp-to-Perm | $22.00 – $28.00/hr (DOE)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector with a strong background in precision sheet metal and machined components. This role is critical to ensuring all products meet strict customer specifications and quality standards.

This is a high-level inspection role requiring strong expertise in print reading and GD&T. Candidates must be able to work independently and make quality decisions with confidence.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Interpret customer specifications, blueprints, and inspection requirements
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on sheet metal and machined components
• Assess and manage RMA (Return Material Authorization) processes, including:
• * Evaluating returned parts for disposition
• Creating RMA work orders (repair/remake)
• Maintaining RMA database and records
• Disposition non-conforming material into DMR system
• Maintain accurate inspection, acceptance, and rejection documentation
• Support and help resolve manufacturing quality issues
• Contribute to corrective and preventive action programs
• Maintain quality reporting for Business Review Team
• Use SolidWorks to support cross-functional communication and analysis
• Utilize precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges)

Must-Have Qualifications (Required – No Exceptions)

• 5+ years of QC inspection experience in sheet metal and/or machined parts
• Advanced ability to read and interpret complex engineering prints
• Strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments
• Experience managing or supporting RMA processes and non-conforming material
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Effective communication skills across departments

⭐ Preferred Experience

• Experience in a precision sheet metal manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with quality systems and continuous improvement processes
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks
