Job Description
This is a contract position.
It is a hybrid role, with 3 days in Vienna, VA office.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects within SQL Server environments
- Utilize advanced SQL techniques including joins, subqueries, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), and window functions to support data analysis and application functionality
- Implement indexing strategies and performance tuning to ensure high-performing and scalable database solutions
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams
- Support and enhance procure-to-pay (P2P) systems, including data integration, reporting, and process optimization
The skills we are looking for in this role include:
- Strong SQL skills - very comfortable with joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions and indexing. Preference given to those with SQL Server background.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and vice versa.
- Experience communicating technical terms to non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge and experience with procure-to-pay systems and processes.
- Coding (Python/R/JavaScript etc) experience is a plus.
- Power BI and/or dashboard development experience
