Job Description
Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a CNC Machine Operator (Lathe) - 2nd Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD!
The core hours are 3 pm - 11 pm.
The hourly rate for this position is $27.50 per hour + 10% shift premium.

## What you’ll do:
The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for set-up and operation of multiple CNC Lathe and Mill machines. They check quality of finished parts, fully understand technical drawings, revisions and note codes, and uses QC info. They operate machines and any other calibration equipment such as calipers, wrench, and air gun or any other equipment necessary to perform job functions.
In this role, you will:
- Perform set-ups and tool changes for multiple machines with different controls in order to execute a sequence of operations such as turn, drill, and bore a variety of metal components.
- Modify, edit, download, and upload programs in order to make multiple parts.
- Perform offset adjustments and utilize proper tooling, such as inserts and cutters, based on print specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings in accordance with standard shop practices.
- Train and mentor other operators.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
## Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualification:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from accredited institution
- Minimum of 1 year of machinist/CNC experience OR completion of a machinist/CNC degree/certification from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience
- Minimum of 2 years of CNC experience
## Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
- Must be able to use the computer.
- Ability to read and comprehend specifications, engineering drawings and manufacturing routings
- Position requires exposure to oil, dirt, and heat
- Must wear safety glasses, ear plugs and steel toed shoes for entire shift
- Ability to stand, sit, move 8-12 hours a day with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
