Denal Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant to support our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations, providing excellent patient care, and assisting with administrative and clinical tasks. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, gaining valuable experience in dental and medical procedures.

Prior experience with dental software and terminology is a plus, but we are willing to provide training for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures as a Dental Receptionist
• Manage patient scheduling using dental software such as Abeldent
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist the dental team during procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics cases
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical and dental histories, using electronic health records systems
• Assist with clinical tasks such as sterilization, instrument preparation, and patient education
• Handle administrative duties including billing, insurance verification, and appointment confirmations
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and post-care instructions
• Support the team with general office tasks to ensure efficient workflow

Skills

• Proficiency with dental software such as Abeldent is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care
• Experience in dental assisting or related clinical support roles is preferred (minimum 1-2 years)
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
