Join us to be a part of this transformative journey, where your impact will shape the future of technology and production.</div><h2>Purpose</h2> As a Nondestructive Evaluation Engineer, you will help accelerate the adoption and qualification of additive manufacturing and advanced joining processes through implementation of novel inspection methods.  <h2>The Role</h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Develop inspection methods and procedures for advanced manufacturing methods including additive manufacturing and joining. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to establish inspection plans and implement design for inspectability best practices. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Execute probability of detection studies and qualification plans.  </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Procure and commission inspection equipment as needed for production. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Interface with customers and government agencies on inspection of additive manufactured hardware. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Perform third party audits of nondestructive testing vendors. </li> </ul> <h2>Basic Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">5+ years of NDE experience in aerospace or defense. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Current ASNT level III certification or equivalent in ultrasonic testing (UT).</li> </ul> <h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Master’s degree or doctorate in with specialization in nondestructive inspection methods. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Multiple level II or III certifications across radiographic testing (RT), ultrasonic testing (UT), eddy current testing (ET), penetrant (PT), or other advanced techniques. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Knowledge of aerospace and defense requirements including industry standards such as AMS, ASTM, MIL, and AWS specifications. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Experience with inspection of additive manufacturing, castings, welding, composites, or structural bonds. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Experience with automation of NDE processes and data analysis. </li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Familiarity with aerospace fracture and safety criticality requirements. </li> </ul> <h2>Work Environment</h2> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;">Mix of office, laboratory, and industrial environment.  </li> </ul> <h2>Compensation</h2> At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job.
