Lead Teacher / Montessori Guide (0-3)

District Montessori seeks a qualified and enthusiastic Lead Guide to join our school community in August 2026, at the start of the 2026-27 school year. You will guide a group of 12 children between the ages of 16 months and 3 years old, nurturing their natural development and fostering an engaging classroom environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the foundational years of children's education in a vibrant, supportive setting.

Candidates should hold a Montessori credential for the young child (0-3) age group from AMI, AMS, or another MACTE-recognized program, and should embody respect for all children. Candidates should also have an Associate degree or higher, with at least 12 credit hours in early childhood education. Ideal candidates will possess enthusiasm for creating an enriching classroom experience, have a proven dedication to early childhood education, and be adept at supporting parents and caregivers as they navigate the early childhood years.

This is a full-time teaching position on a 10-month schedule.

Located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington DC, our school closely follows the DCPS school schedule, with our classrooms in session from late August through mid-June.
