Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant, based in Ghatanji. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with taxation requirements, preparing financial reports, overseeing audits, and monitoring organizational budgets. Other key responsibilities include financial planning, liaising with stakeholders, and assisting with payroll and expense management. Collaboration with team members and ensuring timely financial reporting are essential aspects of this role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and budget management
• Experience with financial software, data entry, and bookkeeping
• Knowledge of taxation, compliance, and auditing processes
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Prior experience working in NGOs or within rural development contexts is a plus
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Marathi and English
