About the Role

Dhaka Technologies Limited is seeking a highly experienced and creative Web Designer Master on behalf of a client in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in web design, Drupal development, user experience optimization, and modern front-end technologies. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performing, accessible, secure, and visually engaging web solutions that align with organizational goals and communication strategies. The Web Designer Master will collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, developers, content teams, project managers, and leadership to deliver scalable and user-friendly digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Web Design & User Experience

· Design and build responsive, visually engaging web pages using modern web technologies and design principles.

· Develop intuitive user interfaces, site animations, and interactive web components.

· Enhance the organization’s online presence through modern design standards and improved user experience.

· Ensure websites align with organizational communication strategies and branding guidelines.

· Optimize websites for accessibility (WCAG 2.1+), SEO, responsiveness, and performance.

Drupal Development & Architecture

· Develop, configure, maintain, and optimize websites using Drupal 9/10/11.

· Build custom Drupal modules, themes, and integrations following Drupal best practices.

· Implement and manage content types, taxonomies, views, menus, and blocks.

· Maintain high code quality through peer reviews, version control, and adherence to Drupal coding standards, PSR-4, and Composer workflows.

· Troubleshoot and resolve compatibility, security, and performance issues.

Integration & Modern Development

· Develop and maintain integrations with third-party platforms including REST APIs, GraphQL, SSO, CRM systems, and payment gateways.

· Work with cloud hosting platforms such as Acquia, Pantheon, AWS, and Azure.

· Implement and support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and modern development workflows.

· Utilize Docker or containerized development environments where applicable.

Maintenance & Support

· Perform regular website updates, module upgrades, and security patching.

· Maintain technical documentation for configurations, deployment procedures, and custom development.

· Monitor site functionality, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support when needed.

· Ensure ongoing optimization and compliance with web standards and security best practices.

Collaboration & Project Participation

· Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement modern, user-centric web interfaces.

· Partner with content editors and stakeholders to improve publishing workflows and content management processes.

· Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.

· Provide technical recommendations and strategic guidance to project teams and leadership.

RequirementsRequired Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· 16+ years of experience designing user interfaces and building enterprise web pages.

· 16+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, and modern web design standards.

· Strong expertise in Drupal 9/10/11 development and administration.

· Experience building custom Drupal modules, themes, and integrations.

· Strong proficiency in: PHP, Twig, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Responsive Web Design.

· Extensive knowledge of: User experience (UX) principles, Web accessibility standards (WCAG), Web optimization techniques, SEO best practices, and Web security standards.

· Experience with: Composer, Drush, Git, Modern development workflows, and MySQL/MariaDB.

· Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

· Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with headless or decoupled Drupal architectures.

· Familiarity with React, Vue.js, or other modern JavaScript frameworks.

· Experience with Docker or containerized development environments.

· Experience with cloud hosting platforms including Acquia, Pantheon, AWS, or Azure.

· Acquia Drupal Developer or Site Builder certification.

· Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
