Your mission
JCCBI is looking for a Business Analyst, Information Technology (IT) Applications to help fulfill the mission of the Information Resources Department which is stated as follows: our department uses its expertise to deploy, incorporate, and leverage technologies and information to support best practices in decision-making.
Reporting to the Director, Information Resources, you will be responsible for leading efficiency, value-add, and transformational initiatives based on artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, in close collaboration with business teams and AI governance bodies.
Since the Corporation has recently established an AI governance framework, you will be responsible for designing and deploying artificial intelligence solutions using existing technologies and in accordance with established governance policies.
- Analyze issues with business systems and processes and propose solutions that incorporate AI.
- Monitor developments in AI technologies, methods, and applications on an ongoing basis.
- Help evaluate new AI use cases and prioritize them based on return on investment (ROI), business impact, feasibility, data maturity/preparation, regulatory considerations, and risk profile.
- Translate workflows and business pain points into clear requirements for AI products and user journeys.
- Design, integrate, and implement AI products to solve complex problems on an organizational scale.
- Define and manage a phased roadmap-including estimated costs and an implementation plan-for the AI products under your responsibility, and track progress.
- Translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions and suggest AI product prototypes to the organization.
- Verify compliance with risk, regulatory, and internal and external governance requirements for the AI products under your responsibility.
- Manage the contract and the supplier providing services for AI systems.
- Work with business analysts, IIM Architecture, and Data Management to collect, prepare and structure data so that it can be used by AI models.
- Propose and develop measurable indicators of success and performance for AI (productivity, efficiency, user satisfaction).
- Provide advisory support on the selection and evolution of artificial intelligence solutions in collaboration with the teams responsible for IT security, integrated information management, and digital transformation, ensuring their performance, security, compliance, and alignment with best practices and emerging market solutions.
- Prepare AI product deliverables, including documentation and training/testing materials, in collaboration with superusers.
- Help train superusers on the various features of AI products and any changes to them, and facilitate knowledge transfer, most notably by overseeing a community of practice.
- Help promote the business architecture for the AI products under your purview and serve as a liaison between the Information Resources department, AI product superusers/owners, and external vendors to ensure ongoing communication regarding technological requirements, product developments, and deliverables.
- Serve as the backup for the IT Business Analyst - Data Management.
- Perform any other job-related tasks and duties.
Experience and education
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, or a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent.
- At least three years of experience in data, app, and artificial intelligence (AI) management.
- Extensive expertise in AI frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
- Experience developing and integrating AI-powered systems, such as applications based on large language models (LLMs), RAG pipelines, or agentic workflows, within secure, production-ready environments.
- Proven ability to provide expert knowledge and advice across multiple areas of AI.
- Proven ability to write presentations, documents, reports, and performance indicators.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in both official languages.
Assets
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft platforms (e.g., Fabric, Azure AI, Power Apps, etc.).
- Show initiative and leadership and demonstrate good organizational skills.
- Demonstrate analytical thinking and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Demonstrate good teamwork, synthesis skills, thoroughness, and an ability to adapt to new concepts and to multitask.
