What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Design, build, and deploy backend solutions using cloud-based technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support data-sharing initiatives and connected system workflows
• Research new tools and technologies, share recommendations, and drive continuous improvement
• Apply software engineering best practices, including automated testing and peer reviews
• Gather requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications

What is Required (Qualifications)

• 5+ years of experience building scalable, real-time backend systems
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Experience with Unix-based systems
• Hands‑on experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Solid understanding of database technologies including SQL/NoSQL and performance optimization
• Experience using development tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jira, and CI/CD workflows
• Awareness of foundational UX concepts and experience supporting digital‑first products
