WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Process Specialist to join our

Filling

Team on a 4-month contract basis.

The

Process Specialist

optimises production, leads loss-eradication initiatives, and drives cost-saving initiatives in Production Filling.

This position is in-person, based at our 123 Eastside Drive Manufacturing location in Etobicoke.

PAY RANGE

The anticipated base salary for this position is between $80,000 and $90,000.

Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.

WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

• Develop, implement, and optimise production processes by applying continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
• Support research, design, modification, and testing of production methods and equipment to improve yield on existing processes
• Conduct feasibility studies of new designs/processes to determine feasibility within the existing manufacturing capabilities and through supplemental automation
• Recommend equipment improvements to maximize production increases while minimizing downtime
• Support for production improvements while adhering to safety and GMP protocols
• Develop and optimize engineering processes from inception to start-up, while ensuring that validation/qualification standards are upheld.
• Provide technical assistance and proposing sustainable solutions to production teams to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Define and drive measures to improve stability, reliability, and production costs across all production lines.
• Adjust process parameters in consultation with production management
• Perform root cause analyses, troubleshooting and resolving operating problems, and deriving sustainable corrective actions in the case of process deviations

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

• Experience with FDA/Health Canada regulated cosmetic, food, or pharmaceutical field is preferred.
• Experience in people management or leading a team is an asset.
• Knowledge of equipment design, construction, operation, qualification, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of process automation equipment related to the cosmetics, personal care, or pharmaceutical industries is an asset.
• Exhibit strong technical writing ability to communicate technical ideas and concepts clearly and effectively.
