Job Description The Instructional Designer will be responsible for improving company performance through the design and development of effective learning solutions. This person will have advanced knowledge of adult learning theories, instructional design methodologies and experience working with current instructional technologies.
Key responsibilities will include analyzing training needs, designing curriculum plans, creating instructor‑led materials and developing e‑learning content. The ideal candidate will have experience designing creative learning solutions, a proclivity toward continuous improvement, and a passion for promoting a culture of learning. This is fully remote, mid‑level position.
Essential Functions Partner and build relationships with stakeholders to identify knowledge and performance gaps. Maintain working knowledge of assigned content and provide recommendations for training interventions. Researches content by conducting interviews, attending courses, running focus groups, reviewing surveys, reviewing existing materials, participating in meetings and searching reliable external sources.
Incorporates adult learning theory, motivational elements and learning best practices into the design and development of learning plans, prototypes, courses, and performance support for both instructor‑led and computer‑based learning. Employs rapid instructional design techniques to develop learning in a fast‑paced environment. Effectively leverage learning technologies and content development tools to design, develop and implement learning solutions.
Manage and publish content to an LMS and CMS. Use e‑learning authoring tools to develop self‑paced content. Stay abreast of automotive and digital marketing current events, challenges and needs. Review peer content and provide constructive feedback.
